We are a community kitchen designed to help those in need….those who are going through a hard time, those who may need a hand getting started, those who deserve recognition but are seldom thanked.

Our biggest joy is in watching people who we have helped coming back to help others in need.

What is Our Big Kitchen? Our Big Kitchen is a kosher and halal certified, HACCP approved industrial kitchen located at The Yeshiva Centre in Bondi. The kitchen is open to anyone who wants to use it to empower themselves or to help others. Here is a taste of what we do…

History of Our Big Kitchen It all started with a vision, a crazy dream of Rabbi Dovid and Laya Slavin to build an industrial kitchen out of what was a slab of rock. Their passion won over the hearts of anyone they approached, and brought together a team of builders and tradespeople from all walks of life who gave their time, equipment and guidance to bring the vision to life.

Week in the life of Our Big Kitchen No week is the same…the kitchen’s dynamic environment comes to life each day. From professional chefs to school kids on excursions, from corporate cook-ins to seniors filling our pantry, the kitchen is alive with chatter and beautiful aromas fill the air. This is just a bite of a week in our life.

How can we help nourish you? Everyone goes through hard times in their lives. Whether it is you personally or someone close to you who may need a hand, Our Big Kitchen can help. We can provide you with meals, a place to belong or a stepping-stone to start a new business. When you’ve come through the hard times, we can help you give back…the opportunities are endless.
